Mike
My name is Mike, and this is my wife, Lisa. We’re both clients of Forrester Boyd Wealth Management. I’ve been a client for about four years, and our adviser is Gavin Smart.

Lisa
I originally got in touch with Gavin through my husband’s company; they had Forrester Boyd Wealth Management come out to see them, and I was keen on getting some financial advice because I’d recently been told I could move my workplace-based pension into a personal pension plan. I wanted to get some good advice, and I needed somebody with good knowledge.

Gavin was able to give me that holistic view of what it would look like in five, six, or seven years, and this really helped me when I eventually became eligible to retire from my job at work; I could do it early, knowing that I was going to be fine.

The best thing about working with Gavin and the team is the confidence they’re giving me to enjoy my life now. I was very nervous and maybe sceptical about giving up work early and drawing a pension. Obviously, not earning anymore can be quite scary, but actually, from the information and knowledge that Gavin gave me about my pension, I’ve been able to enjoy my first year far more than I expected. We’ve been able to travel, go out, and enjoy our life while knowing the fact that we can do this for many years to come. That is something that has been absolutely fantastic.
